September webinar: How should the crash repair sector respond to economic pressures and technology change?

On 15th September we held this webinar which drew on the initial results of ICDP’s research presented in March 2026 at the Spring Meeting on the crash repair market structure and trends. This webinar summarised the views of repairers and other stakeholders, such as insurers, market experts, and suppliers, on the evolution of the sector. A particular focus was placed on elements such as in-car technology (ADAS, evolution in body frame design and materials, HV batteries, etc.), recruitment issues, and insurer-repairer relationships, and their current and future impact on the crash repair business.

In addition, we presented the latest outputs of our crash repair model, assessing the future trends for crash repairs in volume and value for the main European countries. These results are based on realistic assumptions of the key variables impacting this market, at the 2030 horizon.
