The results of our latest simulation demonstrate that the business model for dealer workshops could be profoundly affected by upcoming shifts in the aftermarket.
By 2035, the vast majority of vehicles aged 0–4 years will be BEVs, which will inevitably lead to a decline in aftermarket demand within car manufacturer franchised networks. Furthermore, the circulating car parc will age significantly, shifting demand toward older vehicles - a segment that rarely visits dealers for maintenance or repairs.
These trends will mean that OEM franchised networks will need to double their efforts to hold on to customers and to keep them for as long as possible.
Whilst numerous loyalty tools are available to dealers, which ones are likely to have the most significant impact on service volume, as well as on the revenue and margins generated by the R&M workshop?
This webinar will present the findings from the latest round of simulation, assessing the impact of key loyalty tools on workshop volumes, revenue and profitability for a "typical" dealer, both in a theoretical market (ICDPLand) and in real-world markets such as Italy and Norway, whilst allowing for varying levels of electrification and different age profiles of the car parc.
