Ingo O Karpen
Research
Ingo O. Karpen is a PhD candidate in Marketing at The University of
Melbourne. His primary research interests include strategic, service and relationship
marketing with a focus on value co-creation with customers.
Ingo’s teaching experience centres on Advanced Marketing, Strategic
Marketing, and Retail Management at The University of Melbourne and Victoria
University. In particular his doctoral research on Service-Dominant Logic with
its emphasis on collaborative and empowered interactions of automotive market
players has attracted academic and practitioner interest alike.
In 2008 Ingo was the winner of The Otago Forum Postgraduate Student Scholarship.
The Otago Forum has been a unique knowledge generating platform for research
with a service orientation and provided a leading edge contribution to marketing
thought and practice. His research has been published and presented at high-level
international academic conferences in addition to his work with ICDPA.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Ingo worked for several years as a strategy
consultant, project manager, and bank trainee in Germany and Luxemburg. He
was focussing on customer experience, quality management (EFQM), and performance
management projects with a holistic business system perspective.
