Carla is a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Retail Studies (ACRS)
within the Department of Marketing at Monash University. Carla has extensive
commercial experience in consumer, communications, retail, automotive, and
advertising research from her experience at the ACRS, as well as previous marketing
and research roles at Starcom Media and Telstra. In addition to a long-standing
research relationship with ICDPA, Carla has lead commercial research projects
for clients
including Toyota, Google, MoCo Media, Shell, and KPMG. Carla is also Co-Director
of the Monash International Marketing Study Tour, where she travels annually
to major cities around the world to study the latest retail (including automotive),
consumer and marketing trends, as well as best practice marketing and retailing.
Carla has worked with ICDPA since 2005, researching issues such as best practice
HR in automotive dealerships, attracting and retaining a cross-generational
workforce, automotive consumer and retail trends, multichannel automotive retailing,
automotive retail business metrics, and most recently, sustainability in automotive
retailing, which has attracted substantial interest from ICDPA members and
relevant government agencies. In conjunction with ICDPA, Carla recently developed
an
educational program for automotive dealers that directly and comprehensively
addresses the issue of sustainability, entitled Green Dealer.
