Osman spent more than 20 years in product planning, marketing and sales fields in the Turkish automotive industry working for Oyak Renault, Ford Otosan, Karsan, Tirsan and finally for the Bayraktar Group. He was managing director at Tirsan, the largest trailer manufacturer and the DAF distributor in Turkey. He was also General Manager at Bayraktar Otomotiv where he oversaw the Chinese brands.

He is the founding chairman of Treder, the Association of Trailer Manufacturers in Turkey and was Chairman in 2007 and 2008.

Osman currently works for GB Auto, the largest automotive company in the MENA region and a public company quoted on the Cairo stock exchange; he is Chief Operating Officer in charge of Commercial Vehicles, Construction Equipment, Transport and Tyre Businesses.

Osman joined ICDP as a Senior Advisor for Turkey in January 2010.
