Juan Antonio Moral
Senior Advisor, Spain
Juan was born in 1935, and is married with two sons and two daughters. His qualifications include Doctor Industrial Engineer (Escuela Superior de Madrid 1960), Licenciado Information Technologies (Politecnica de Madrid 1982), and courses at Harvard, MIT, INSEAD and the Productivity Centre in Houston.
Almost all of his professional life, Juan was at Renault, mainly in the industrial field. In 2000 he retired as CEO and Chairman of the Renault Spanish subsidiary.
From 1998 – 2000, Juan was Chairman of ANFAC (Spanish Association for the Car Manufacturers) and Chairman of ASEPA (Spanish Association of the Automotive Engineers)
Since 2000, he has held the following roles: Director in the Council of Renault Espana, and Chairman of SIGRAUTO (the entity for the implementation of the European Directive for the treatment of the end-of-life vehicles representing the car manufacturers, dismantlers and shredders).
Juan has also been honoured with the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and the Medaille du Travail in France, and the Gran Cruz del Merito Civil in Spain.
Juan joined the ICDP team as Senior Advisor in Spain in October 2003.
