Professor Dr. Hans-Gerhard Seeba

On 1st September 2002, Gerd joined the ICDP team as a non-executive director
and was also appointed as Professor of Automotive Business at the Fachhochschule
(University of Applied Sciences) Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel based in Wolfsburg.
He was appointed Chairman in March 2005.
Since October 1997, Gerd was Head of Sales Channel Strategy at Volkswagen AG. In this role, he was in charge of various assignments of strategic importance for the Volkswagen Group, i.e. the renewal of Block Exemption, multi-brand strategy at point of sale, used car strategy, separation of dealer networks for VW and Audi, and the integration of E-Commerce in the sales channels.
Previous positions at Volkswagen included Head of Used Car Marketing & Sales Channel Innovation, and Head of Dealer Network Development at the Marketing Management Institute (MMI) in Brunswick.
Professor Seeba began his automotive career in 1989 as a consultant for a dealer cooperation at Volkswagen SYNKO GmbH.
From 1984 to1989, he was General Manager in the fruit growing industry near Hamburg.
Professor Seeba holds a degree in business management (Göttingen University) and a doctorate in economics (Hannover University).
